Delicacies and Wines of Italy Featured

SACRAMENTO – On September 30th, The Firehouse will present the second in its series of Epicurean Dinners.  The seven-course prix fixe menu is inspired by autumn in Italy.

The evening’s dining experience begins in the Wine Cellar with Antipasti, then moves to the Courtyard Grill for progressive courses of Tuscan White Bean Salad, Butternut Squash Ravioli with Black Truffle, Sea Bass with Baby Artichoke and Porcini Barigoule, Petit Lamb Chop, a cheese course including Fromaggio di Capra and Truffle Pecorino, and finishes with Marsala Zabaglione.

Each course is paired with a wine from Italy, specially chosen by Sommelier, Mario Ortiz.  For complete menu see Italian Epicurean Dinner Menu.

The Firehouse Epicurean Dinners will be offered only once a month, and will set the cuisine and wine-pairing concept for the Chef’s Tasting Menu that will follow nightly for the next month.

Seating for the Epicurean Dinners is very limited and the theme of the dinners will change each month.

The Firehouse is located in Old Sacramento at 1112 Second Street.
