Assistant Wine Buyer & Certified Sommelier
Paul Marsh is a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommelier Guild and has 8 years of wine industry experience. He began his wine career at Yuwat Vineyards in Oroville where he worked in the winery operation and gained experience in the vineyards. He then joined the start-up of Elida Vineyards in Chico where he managed and registered aquaculture farm operations including sales, delivery, and cultivation of multiple species. Most recently, Paul was an Account Executive with Regal Wine Company responsible for managing four Bay Area territories with more than 100 accounts.
Since Paul’s arrival in the fall of 2008, The Firehouse has expanded its wine education program with Wine Tasting Tuesdays, where guests can taste hard-to-find wines of a particular style or varietal and the sommeliers discuss the wines history, nuances, and qualities in an intimate setting. The Firehouse is also presenting regular Winemaker Dinners, which are seven-course dinners with wine pairings from highly regarded boutique wineries.
